Welcome to The Silver Fish Bar, holder for the last 10 years of The Seafish Friers Quality Award, a nationally recognised award for producing first-class fish and chips in a first-class environment, which is a great achievement.
The Silver Fish Bar is owned and run by Varny Georgiou, who along with his loyal staff, produces excellent fare for his customers in Uppingham and the surrounding area. There is a huge choice from award-winning traditional fish and chips to pies, burgers, kebabs, vegetarian and childrend’s menus.
Only the very best ingredients are used and the fish arrives fresh from Grimsby daily. We recognise the importance of sustainable fishing and all fish sold at the Silver Fish Bar is line caught sustainable fish.
We can accommodate a variety of dietary requirements – we also have gluten free batter, together with a good selection of vegetarian food. All the products are fried in vegetable oil. As far as possible we will cater for any special request.

The Silver Fish Bar was refurbished in the summer of 2009. The atmosphere is bright and staff are friendly, so it’s a welcoming place to stop and eat if you prefer not to take away. There is plenty of seating and as you would expect, the area is kept spotlessly clean.
